Honestly, I don’t even know where to start with this woman. To say that tensions are running high in the wake of the election of Donald Trump as President would be an understatement, but it apparently boiled over for one woman at a Michael’s store in Chicago over the weekend.
Black employees at the store asked a customer to pay for a $1 reusable shopping bag and the customer immediately took this as discrimination against her and flipped the heck out.
She responded with a pro-Trump rant that included saying that African-Americans are just as guilty of being as racist as whites, among other things, like taunting a woman by telling her that her husband was cheating on her.
You have to see it. I can’t make this stuff up.
The woman in the video noticed people were recording her rant, which only strengthened her resolve to continue to spew her venom.
As you can imagine, the video’s wound a lot of people up, so much so that comments were disabled. The uploader provided this message:
As for Michael’s, they tweeted that they wouldn’t tolerate any kind of discrimination.
But there’s a bright spot!
Jessie Grady, the witness who uploaded the YouTube video, said that the store manager demonstrated admirable patience in the face of the 45-minute rant and even set up a GoFundMepage to give her some holiday cheer in the form of a cash reward for taking the high road.
She also said that even though it couldn’t be seen in the video, people in the store defended the manager from the crazy customer.
She’s raised more than $5,000 for the Michaels store manager, who knits hats and scarves for the homeless every year and obviously has the patience of a saint.
“So many people know this employee and she means so much for the community,” Grady said. “I want to use this money to empower her. She needs to have her voice.”
And hopefully the psycho goes back to her home on Mount Crumpit where she can’t ruin anyone else’s day.
